The night sky has always inspired a sense of wonder in me and appealed to my inner Star Wars fanboy. This night sky blend combines a crystal clear Milky Way passing over a lone tree not far from my home town.
Anyone who knows me personally or has spent at least five minutes around me probably knows that I'm a huge Star Wars fan. As a kid, my imagination would run wild with all these ideas of what's really happening among the stars. Are there really little green guys on Mars? Do dinosaurs still exist somewhere out there? Is Chewbacca real?
Short of winning the lottery and catching a commercial flight to the moon, I don't think I'll be exploring space anytime soon but night sky photography keeps that part of my imagination alive and well. It's one of the more challenging genres of photography that I work with, but it's also one of the most rewarding!
